NTCI 50 th Anniversary Walking Tour Stop Number   Description            Notes 1 Subway Restaurant,  2341 Yonge Street Favourite haunt especially in Grade 13.  Now part of the R&C complex circa 1979. Funeral Home was site of R&C.  On the way north, point out Broadway Music Shop for CHUM Charts just south of Broadway Avenue. 2 Canada Trust – Yonge & Erskine Currently TD Canada Trust.  The apartment building was demolished for controversial condo beside John Fisher Public School. 3 Bank of Montreal Built in 1907 and demolished over the weekend in early February 2017.  Just days before heritage status. Steps still visible. 4 Broadway Billiards, 2426 Yonge Street Above Parkwood car dealership.  Now it’s the entryway to parking beside Best Buy.  Changed to Chapters Bookstore then Future Shop and Fed Ex. 5 Corner Montgomery & Yonge Post Office built 1937, closed 2013.  Facade of PO is one of few Edward VIII buildings in Can
